And There’s More

I had a panic attack yesterday. I used to get them quite frequently a few years back. I still do get very anxious but this was totally out of the blue. Ho hum. As I write this I have just returned from a good rehearsal with Jon Bickley and the Invisible Folk Club band over in Chesham.
I am not such a big fan of the M1 though. But on a day like today I can tolerate it. I think I am getting a spot of hayfever/pollen bother.

Here is a song from last year that was quite popular , its called “Yes, but so where is it” Who knows what it’s about.

On Recording and Related Matters

I have decided to become better acquainted with some of my older recording gear. I have a need for more than 16 tracks so a good old fashion sub mix and bounce was required. It worked like a treat though. The next step is vocals. You can edit but everything is done with the time code and you ears for cutting and pasting, rather than on screen (no pretty waveforms). It works a treat but just requires a little more forethought as I haven’t worked that way for a while. I had to do this because I was just 3 tracks short for the vocals which I had not planned for properly. I think I need to take a little more time over some of the material now perhaps?
Sometimes whilst keeping plowing on it is possible to lose sight of the goal because of being so immersed in the process . So when the muse kicks in again I will get back on the case with the track.

I have just managed to write some lyrics for the new number, that I hope will work. In a day or to it might be ready.

The last appearance of the full Delta Ladies’ line up at Walthamstow Folk Club in 2019.

As I expect you know: “The feast day of Easter was first a pagan holiday of renewal and rebirth. Honored in the early spring, it praised the pagan goddess of fertility and spring known as ‘Ostara’, ‘Eastre’ or ‘Eostre’.”
