Ok, things are not going well. I have lost most of the rather limited confidence that I had left. My self-esteem has pretty much dropped to zero. I really don’t feel confident to do anything now. I have been lurking in my studio/music room/den quite a bit as it’s about the only thing that sufficiently distracts me for any length of time but even that is not working anymore.

So here’s a tune I recorded recently based on a song I wrote earlier in the year. I think it works sort of.

This is as much about how people feel as what’s actually happening.

“I really get where you’re coming from. Ever since the referendum I’ve felt a slight unease when out and about. Case point : The morning immediately after the Brexit vote I was waiting at a bus stop when a van drove past and shouted ‘Brexit’ at me. Said van turned around and pulled over across the road whilst it’s three occupants stared at me for a good few minutes. They then drove right up to the bus stop and waited, for a few minutes no doubt waiting for a reaction. I felt at any moment they were going to jump out and beat me to a pulp Eventually they drove off. Neil, your paranoia is sadly justified”
