Happy Ides of March one and all

I have just always wanted to write that.  I am not even sure precisely what it means, but at the time of writing it being march and all that I thought I would throw it in. Apparently it says here on Wikipedia The Ides of March (Latin: Idus Martiae, Late Latin: Idus Martii)[1]is a day on the Roman calendar that corresponds to March 15. It was marked by several religious observances and became notorious as the date of the assassination of Julius Caesar in 44 BC. The death of Caesar made the Ides of March a turning point in Roman history, as one of the events that marked the transition from the historical period known as the Roman Republic to the Roman Empire.[2]

Although March (Martius) was the third month of the Julian calendar, in the oldest Roman calendar it was the first month of the year. The holidays observed by the Romans from the first through the Ides often reflect their origin as new-year celebrations.

So Happy new ancient Roman New year to you all. Allegedly.

Its a pleasant spring like day here in Battersea as I write this. and to celebrate the Ides I shall be mostly drinking tea and looking a bit like your granny. but after a really rough night on the gin. At the moment I am sorting out my latest Solo Album release which will be available on Amazon, I tunes and all that old malarkey. I have not done a proper release for about 2 years, so I though it was about time for another one. the Album goes under the splendid title “Monotony Calling” which is also the opening track.  It takes a little while to sort out out what with bar codes and IRSC numbers and stuff which are quite boring but important as if one is lucky enough to get radio play it all adds up eventually. I have had a bit of stuff played on Radio down the years including radio 6 which is not bad going really. One should never give up hope and all that. It could happen again.

Mood wise as the days get longer things get a little easier,  its fairly busy on the Delta Ladies front of course, in fact almost a little too busy at times. Some of the driving gets a bit tiring, this last week being Cambridge Brighton and various  other bits of the home county’s and i do tend to run out of steam on the days between. Today I had all sorts of plans but its not panned out.
