Talking of “with malice aforethought” then …
“Conservative MP Guto Bebb has allegedly accused a local constituent of“talking out of his arsehole” in a reply to a letter challenging him on his voting record.
A constituent in Bebb’s constituency, Aberconwy, wrote to the Tory MP to question Theresa May’s decision to offer the DUP a £1bn bung, as well as Bebb’s position on scrapping the public sector pay cap.”
Nice.
History repeats
Well worth a read.
One thing that strikes me though is often we look for the hidden when there is nothing but incompetence or petty malice.
I worked in the civil service and on occasion my colleagues were somewhat judgemental and applied their own interpretation of the rules. I suspect that whilst a lot of bad stuff happens it is as much due to personal prejudices and ignorance as to a deliberate policy. This plus a measure of incompetence.
Sometimes the enemy is hidden right in front of you.
