Tis the Merry month of January I guess

Hurrah! Our first Sonic Boomers gig of January and it was fun, though a few tech glitches occured at the start. But folks were up and dancing and that’s what matters really. January is always a bit of a fight to get through especially when it’s been so very cold like it has the past few days. I can stand being out in the cold for a short while but not too long at the moment. So I haven’t been walking much lately I must admit. Though I do have a pair of trainers posed and ready to go in case of emergency. Its Monday and so on with the motley and all that. Still a bit knackered but much less than yesterday. Haven’t got around to sorting car removal yet but that’s this weeks task I guess. Nice to see a bit of sun though and its warmer this week at least fortunately. It’s always 2 days to catch up regardless of it being one gig or 3 in a row. This a bit more of an effort in some respects. There is not as much driving or lifting but there are about 80 or 90 songs in the repertoire so a lot more concentration is required as some also more complex and each gig is a slightly different set list, though there is not much busking stuff.

Sonic Boomers

In other news it’s pretty grim out there mostly in the wider world right now. Hopes and prayers and all that. I have been working on recording a new tune today, I think it’s going be an instrumental in its first incarnation, though a vocal version might happen too at some point in the future.

Here’s a song of mine from 2021

Take anything you want from me

Not literally of course, as it’s a song 😉
