The news was confirmed on the Facebook page of Allen’s son, Orlando Monday Allen.

And so dada Ali, bert camembert, the dingo Virgin, divided alien and his other 12 selves prepare to pass up the oily way and back to the planet of love. As the eternal wheel turns we will continue your message of love and pass it around. We are all one, we are all gong. Rest well my friend, float off on our ocean of love. The gong vibration will forever sound and its vibration will always lift and enhance. You have left such a beautiful legacy and we will make sure it forever shines in our children and their children. He was a founder member of Soft Machine in 1966, but became best known after starting Gong. The band are best known for their Radio Gnome Trilogy, made up of the albums Flying Teapots, Angel’s Egg and You. Although he left Gong in 1975, he resuscitated the band in 1991 and played with them on and off until he became too ill to tour in 2014.

guardian.co.uk © Guardian News & Media Limited 2010

Published via the Guardian News Feed plugin for WordPress.

"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paywalled_content":false,"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paid_content":false
[3
59,99,172,170,25,77,169,171
post-6470","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-musings","tag-article","tag-culture","tag-guardian-music","tag-jazz","tag-music-2","tag-news","tag-pop-and-rock","tag-psychedelia
https://glass-cage.com/dianas_blog/2015/11/10/allen-toussaint-rb-singer-songwriter-and-producer-dies-aged-77/
Legendary R&B New Orleans songwriter and producer has died in Spain while on tour in Europe, according to reports
https://i0.wp.com/image.guardian.co.uk/sys-images/Guardian/Pix/pictures/2010/03/01/poweredbyguardianBLACK.png?resize=350%2C200
If you are enjoying the music Actually a lot of the music is up beat and optimistic so figure that one out, I wish I could.Perhaps because music takes me to another place that I can not otherwise occupy, or maybe at the best of times opens a doorway for…
https://i0.wp.com/glass-cage.com/dianas_blog/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/keys-768x1024.jpg?resize=350%2C200
https://i0.wp.com/glass-cage.com/dianas_blog/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/keys-768x1024.jpg?resize=350%2C200 1x, https://i0.wp.com/glass-cage.com/dianas_blog/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/keys-768x1024.jpg?resize=525%2C300 1.5x
I took myself out for a brief ride in the surround countryside today.
