{"id":5309,"date":"2014-08-21T14:47:13","date_gmt":"2014-08-21T13:47:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.glass-cage.com\/dianas_blog\/?p=5309"},"modified":"2014-08-21T15:40:12","modified_gmt":"2014-08-21T14:40:12","slug":"august-2014","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/glass-cage.com\/dianas_blog\/2014\/08\/21\/august-2014\/","title":{"rendered":"August 2014"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>It&#8217;s been quite a varied year so \u00a0far, several change&#8217;s to plans \u00a0and also a friend having heart \u00a0surgery, \u00a0who is now recovering. \u00a0I am still beavering away on various music projects including completing the <a href=\"http:\/\/deltaladies.com\">Delta Ladies<\/a> new album. Our trip to France for some gigs has been put on hold, so that&#8217;s a bit of a disappointment, \u00a0though it does give me more time to improve my terrible French, which I am \u00a0attempting to learn \u00a0on a regular basis daily.<\/p>\n<p>In other news the world continues to turn but \u00a0gets worse every day it would seem with no redeeming features really. \u00a0I have a morbid fascination with the news though and can&#8217;t seem to ignore it. \u00a0I do watch BBC, Sky, RT &amp;\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/search?q=al+jazeera&amp;rlz=1C1AFAB_enGB498GB498&amp;espv=2&amp;biw=1680&amp;bih=935&amp;source=univ&amp;tbm=nws&amp;tbo=u&amp;sa=X&amp;ei=2NX1U5erLczgarSsgvAF&amp;sqi=2&amp;ved=0CDEQqAI\">al jazeera<\/a>, \u00a0and read a lot of on line stuff from several different news papers all of which tends to be contradictory \u00a0and I glean from all of it some notion of whats going on, \u00a0though how near the truth that is who knows. \u00a0\u201cWhat is truth?\u201d retorted Pilate, there&#8217;s a thought?. \u00a0Very apt for these times in so many ways.<br \/>\nIt makes me very depressed, but I can&#8217;t seem to ignore it.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/diana_stone\/13984639195\/in\/photostream\/player\/\" width=\"800\" height=\"600\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen webkitallowfullscreen mozallowfullscreen oallowfullscreen msallowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It&#8217;s been quite a varied year so \u00a0far, several change&#8217;s to plans \u00a0and also a friend having heart \u00a0surgery, \u00a0who is now recovering. \u00a0I am still beavering away on various music projects including completing the Delta Ladies new album.
