I feel that Midsummer should be when the new year starts. Ok I am obviously quite mad. Things are up and down as ever pretty much. Mostly I am about music as ever. I just tend to do stream of consciousness stuff, not story songs. But loosely everything always relates to personal experience. i do a lot of instrumental music as well though.
I had a terrible nights sleep last night and I am wrecked today. So not so much going on here really. I found I something on the acoustic guitar that sounded quite nice so may turn in to something. Strangely I seem have developed a fairly useful way to use half barres which allows for the other 3 fingers to do much melodic stuff. I just seemed to wake up with it. Obviously my brains been sneaking off to night school subconsciously.

Investigating an old laptop was revealing. I was actually looking for a particular photo but its got lost in translation somewhere I guess. Plus I had forgotten my password so I had to do some jiggery pokery to get in. It was a shock to see how much I had been gigging in the first 10 years with the band up until 2014 and the distances. It was often 4 to 5 times a week and we were doing work for Blues Matters Magazine too. 2014 everything changed as Vicky had the Quad Bypass op so we slowed down a lot 2 to 3 gigs a week at most afterwards. Though we did a lot of duo stuff so we made more money from less gigs. But that was then and this is now.
I am a rusty Greyhound comparatively speaking. My gym is jigging about onstage playing the violin, though I sometimes walk faster than many people jog if required.

A trans friend Facebook thread somebody suggested that we will all be having to flash ID when Reform takes over the country. I replied it’s ok as only about 30% of the country’s population are xenophobic racist transphobes… fair is a concept we teach our children that they often mistakenly believe in adulthood.
