DLJ (Delta Ladies Jazz) is a duo \u2013 Dee Stone \u2013 violin \/ piano \/ vocals and Vee Martin \u2013 guitar \/ vocals. They play play a wide range of music but have a special love for the sounds of old jazz \u2013 swing \/ gypsy \/ bossa and all that great enriching music. They specialize in songs and music from the Great American Songbook with songs from Irving Berlin through to George Gershwin and many others. They also include songs by the great English composers \u2013 Noel Coward & Ray Noble. Pace is added to their shows by the addition of danceable swing classics by such as Louis Jordan, and Ellington.<\/p>\n

The highlight of any DLJ show is the Stephan Grappelli style violin of Diana Stone conjuring the sound of the renowned Hot Club du Paris. DLJ can augment to a trio if required with the addition of world music percussionist Danny Bryan adding flavours of Latin, African and World music sounds. In addition DLJ can add double bass, saxophone and harmonica.<\/p>\n
