Most of these listed have been diagnosed based on evidence in their own writings and contemporaneous accounts by those who knew them. It is often suggested that <a title=\"Genius\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Genius\">genius<\/a> (or, at least, creative talent) and mental disorder (specifically, the <a title=\"Mania\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Mania\">mania<\/a> and <a title=\"Hypomania\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Hypomania\">hypomania<\/a> of bipolar disorder) is linked; the connection was widely publicized by <a title=\"Kay Redfield Jamison\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Kay_Redfield_Jamison\">Kay Redfield Jamison<\/a> in <em><a title=\"Touched with Fire\"
